You need to teach!
I'm not much for being told what to do, but when a friend emphatically stated, "You need to teach," I knew she was on to something. About a month later, my first class gathered for their first lesson.

Students need supplies.
Early on, I spent a lot of time coaching clients on how to choose the best needles and yarn to start them successfully on their knitting adventure. It all became easier when I offered supplies in-house.

Yarn has taken over the house!
I've long had a rather respectable stash. By mid-2019, it was next level. So when we found our new farm, with a building that screamed "studio," there was no question the yarn would have a home of its own.

Karri Munn-Venn

Karri created Phoenix Fibre Arts Studio from a love of knitting and a desire to promote thoughtful, environmentally-responsible making. Outside of the studio, Karri is a climate policy analyst, aspiring farmer, wife, and mother.
